Use XHuoAPI in Chatbox

Chatbox's custom provider appends /v1/chat/completions itself, so the API Host is just the domain.

Before you start

Sign up in the console and create an API token. Registration needs an email address only, no phone number.
You pick a tier when creating the token; new accounts default to Standard. The tier sets price and stability and also which models are available — see the pricing page.

Verify first

Before touching the tool, confirm the key and model work with curl. This rules out half of the 'I configured it and nothing happens' cases.

Steps

Fastest path: since 1.15.1 Chatbox can import a provider config in one click. With Chatbox installed, the button below pre-fills the API Host and common models; you only add your API Key. Prefer not to use the deep link? Download the JSON and import it manually.

Import into Chatbox

Manual setup: open Chatbox, click Settings in the sidebar, go to Model Provider and click Add at the bottom.

Name the provider anything, choose OpenAI API compatible as the API type, then fill in API Key and API Host. Leave API Path empty; it defaults to /v1/chat/completions.

Add at least one model by ID (e.g. deepseek-v3.2). Tick the capabilities it supports (vision, tool use); unticked models are treated as text-only.

Notes

Unlike most tools, the API Host here must not end in /v1. If it does, the request goes to /v1/v1/chat/completions and returns 404.

Qwen models and image/video models are only available in the Standard and Official tiers. A token created in the Saver or Spot tier will get a 'model not available' error for them.
