Use XHuoAPI in Cline

Cline ships an OpenAI Compatible provider type meant for endpoints other than api.openai.com.

Before you start

Sign up in the console and create an API token. Registration needs an email address only, no phone number.
You pick a tier when creating the token; new accounts default to Standard. The tier sets price and stability and also which models are available — see the pricing page.

Verify first

Before touching the tool, confirm the key and model work with curl. This rules out half of the 'I configured it and nothing happens' cases.

Steps

Click the gear icon at the top right of the Cline panel, or the API Provider dropdown just below the chat box.

Set API Provider to OpenAI Compatible, then fill in Base URL, API Key and Model ID.

Base URL:  https://api.xhuoapi.ai/v1
API Key:   sk-...
Model ID:  deepseek-v4-pro

Optional: expand Model Configuration to set context window, image support and input/output prices. Copy prices from the pricing page and Cline will show per-task cost in the UI.

If you use the Cline CLI, the same setup is one command:

cline auth -p openai -k sk-... -b https://api.xhuoapi.ai/v1 -m deepseek-v4-pro

Notes

Stop the base URL at /v1. Do not append /chat/completions; the client adds that path itself and you will get a 404 if you include it.

The model ID must match the pricing page exactly (deepseek-v4-pro, not DeepSeek V4 Pro). Case and hyphens matter.
